How would like to save up to three lives?

The Virginia Blood Services needs our help and that's why American Legion Post 175 is stepping up to have a blood drive on Saturday, August 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the post.

If you have just one hour to spare, please consider giving. The summer is especially a difficult time to get donors and unfortunately a need for more donations.

Call our blood drive coordinator, Mickey Jennings, for an appointment at 874-9773 or just walk in on the day of the event. Thank you and we hope to see you there.

American Legion Post 175 is sponsoring Cub Scout Pack 553 and Boy Scout Troop 553; if you know of a boy who loves the outdoors, outdoor activities, along with adventure, encourage them to join the scouts. Scouts are open to all boys ages 7 - 18. The troop is attending summer camp this summer at Camp T. Brady Saunders from July 13 - 19, 2014 for a full week of excitement. If interested, please contact Scoutmaster Rick Perry at 804-781-1707.
